Frequently asked questions
Are iron injections or infusions painful?
Usually not. You may feel slight discomfort where the needle is placed; it is temporary and monitored by our team.
What side effects are possible?
Side effects are rare and may include redness, mild headache, a feeling of warmth or a local reaction. You are always monitored after the treatment.
How many sessions are needed?
It depends on the deficiency. One session is often enough for a moderate deficiency; more marked cases may need one to three sessions.
Is the treatment covered by health insurance?
Yes, when the deficiency is confirmed by blood tests and the treatment is prescribed by a doctor.
Should I stop my iron tablets before the session?
In general, oral iron is stopped a few days before. Please always follow your doctor’s advice.
